FAQ & Business Policies
Reschedule & Cancellations
Danielle Scicluna Photography reserves the right to reschedule any session or meeting due to photographer personal emergency. If a session cannot be rescheduled due to the above reason, we will refund your paid session fee. This is the only case in which a monetary refund will be provided.
Clients reserve the right to reschedule a session or meeting at least two weeks PRIOR notice to the photographer, at no additional fee, if rescheduled within the following two weeks (very near future).
If it less than 2 weeks PRIOR, and you need to cancel your session due to personal illness or emergency, a credit will be awarded to use towards a future session within the same calendar year. There are no monetary refunds for any reason. A new retainer must be paid, as it covers the time and communication invested by Danielle Scicluna Photography, as this date can no longer be booked by a future client. Session costs are subject to change or increase, and if client books a session after a price increase, the credit will be used towards the session, and remaining balance must be paid. Rescheduling your session’s date within 72 hours, for any reason, may incur additional fees beyond a new retainer fee.
RESCHEDULING DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER: If there is anticipated inclement weather for the location where the session will be held, such as rain or snow, the photographer may suggest a reschedule. Wind and temperature are not considered inclement weather. If you book your session during the winter or summer season, please keep in mind the temperatures at the time. The client may choose to hold a session during light rain, if the driving conditions are safe for photographer. If active rain is projected during the block of client's session time, the photographer will reach out at least 2 hours before the start time to suggest a reschedule. A credit will be awarded for reschedules due to inclement weather to use within 90 days. The retainer will be honored for a new future opening in the case of inclement weather, only.
Quantity of photos included in a Gallery
The base fine art package (default & most popular choice) includes 12 hand-edited and retouched color photos of your choosing, and 12 "film style" black and white photo duplicates (or different B&Ws upon request). A soft edit package is available upon request instead of the fine art package, which includes 25 soft-edited color photos of your choosing. Upon viewing your proofing gallery, you may decide to purchase more images. There are volume discounts as low as $5 per photo when you buy 40 additional photos, and around $3 per photo when the full gallery is purchased.
Mini sessions include 7 color hand-edited photos in a gallery, with the option to purchase the full gallery.
Gallery Turnaround time & Rush Delivery
Clients will receive their Soft Edited/Watermarked Proofing Gallery within 7 days of the session. At this time, the client can begin selecting their favorite photos included with the session package. Client will have 30 days to make their photo selections. Once the client notifies Danielle Scicluna Photography that they are finished making their photo selections, the client's selections will be added to the client queue for editing. Client's full gallery will be completed within 3 weeks of making selections. Once the photo gallery has been completed, the client will receive an emailed link to the Final Gallery of hand-edited artistic images. The gallery will be immediately available for digital download at that time. The gallery will be available online for at least 6 months before expiring.
Turnaround time for weddings is up to 12 weeks from the date of the wedding.
If the client requests for their gallery to be completed sooner that the disclosed turnaround time, this request is subject to review and can be declined for any reason. If the request is approved, a rush delivery fee will incur to deliver the session early.
Editing Requests
My editing style is authentic and true to life. Images will be edited in accordance to my unique artistic vision and stylistic preferences, and that editing style is not grounds for rejection of images or any refund of the session fee. I do not change my editing style upon any requests. Hand edited photos will include enhancements that do not change the authenticity of the photograph (blemish removal, eye brightening). If the client has additional editing requests such as manipulations (face swapping, body modifications, object removal), these requests are subject to review, and will incur additional fees beginning at $25 per area. I reserve the right to decline any request beyond my artistic editing preferences.
Delivery Method of Photo Gallery
All Client galleries will be uploaded to a password-protected online gallery. No physical prints are included with the session fee. Clients can download their high- resolution photos to their computer, phone, or any other digital device. Clients can order prints, wall art, and holiday greeting cards via my Pixieset Print lab, or another 3rd party printing service. I can not guarentee the quality on prints order outside of my lab. I highly recommend ordering your prints and photo art through my lab as the colors are calibrated perfectly.
Who can be included in a session?
Regular family and newborn sessions include immediate family members only. Beyond 5 immediate family members incurs a fee of $25 per person. Extended family sessions begin at $525 for 7 people. Well behaved pets are welcome to sessions unless the location does not allow pets.
Travel for Sessions
I travel within 1-2 hours of my location depending on my schedule. Traveling is complimentary within 20 minutes of my location in Langhorne, PA (19047). Locations outside of my complimentary travel radius will incur a total round trip travel fee of $1 per minute, plus tolls, if applicable. There is no complimentary travel minutes included for locations outside of my radius.
Providing Unedited Photos (Negative Files/Raws)
I am hired based on my portfolio and do not deliver unfinished artwork. Not only don’t the RAW files represent what the eye sees naturally, but the data requires special software to view, and is intended to be edited to make a final image. Because it only offers a general “unfinished” foundation for editing. To protect my work and brand, my images are captured, edited, and reflect my vision and standards.
Rest assured, you won't have to worry about missing out on great images. I only exclude images that are technically incorrect (exposure or focus), and unflattering images (closed eyes and unflattering expressions). All approved images are edited consistent with the work in my portfolio and included in your proofing gallery.
